Enter the VIN of the Adly scooter you are thinking of buying and check what its records say.
Adly models in our data run from 2003 to 2019, across 28 names from the GTA 125 at the newer end of the list to the Thunder 150 at the older end, with engines between 49 and 150 cc. A used Adly can therefore be a very different purchase depending on age, size and how it was used, and a test ride tells you little about that. A history check is a way to compare what the seller says with what the records show.
The VIN itself is only a 17-character code, and the Adly VIN decoder shows what is encoded in the number itself, such as the maker, the model year and the serial number. It does not contain accidents, mileage readings, theft entries or previous owners. Those come from a vehicle history report, where records are available, and they say nothing about the scooter's current mechanical condition.
Records are shown where available. Coverage may vary by country and vehicle.
Start with which machine you are actually looking at. The range includes a Road Tracer 50, 90 and 100, a Silver Fox 50 and 100, and a Thunder in 50, 100, 125 and 150 versions, plus the Super Sonic, Cat, Panther and Noble names. The same model name can sit on very different engine sizes, from 49 cc up to 150 cc, and the most powerful machine in our data makes 13 hp. Model years span 2003 to 2019, so two scooters with similar names can be many years apart in age and in price. Compare the number on the frame with the registration papers and the advert before anything else. If it does not have 17 characters or it differs between the sources, ask the seller why.
Then think about what you cannot see. Most Adly models in our data are listed as scooters, with a few allround, minibike, sport and cross types, and a bike of any type can look tidy while hiding a repaired crash. Fresh plastic and a clean seat say little about the past. Mileage is also hard to judge from a short ride and a few photos, and the seller's account can differ from the paperwork. A history report puts damage records, mileage readings, theft entries and ownership changes next to what you have been told, where such records exist.
Scooters of one brand are often built and sold in several countries, so a machine's history can cross borders, and records may be spread out or incomplete. Coverage varies by country and by vehicle, so a thin report is not proof of a clean past. It is also not a technical inspection. It covers records, not the condition of the engine, brakes or frame today, so if the history looks fine, a mechanic should still look at the scooter. Checking before a visit or a deposit costs little next to buying the wrong machine.
Copy it from the advert, the papers or the frame itself.
You continue on the report page and choose how to pay.
Compare them with the seller's account and decide with the facts in front of you.
The VIN decoder reads the manufacturer code, model year and country of manufacture of a Adly. It does not show the history of the bike.

Depending on what is available for that vehicle, it can show damage records, mileage readings, theft entries, ownership changes and technical data. Not every vehicle has all of these, and coverage may vary by country.
No. The VIN identifies the maker, describes the machine in a code that each maker sets up differently, and gives the model year and a serial number. It does not hold accidents, mileage, theft entries or owners, which is why a separate history report exists.
It makes sense to, because you can ask about anything odd before you travel or pay a deposit. Ask the seller for the VIN first, and compare it with the frame and the registration papers when you see the scooter.
It means nothing was found in the sources available for that vehicle, not that nothing happened. Treat gaps as a reason to ask more questions, look closely at the scooter and have a mechanic inspect it.
Expect the history to span more than one country, and check that the VIN on the frame matches the import and registration papers. Records from abroad may be less complete, so be careful with the seller's account and rely on documents.
