This page decodes the 17-character VIN of a Togg. Enter the number and you get the manufacturer, the model year and the country of manufacture, read from the VIN alone. In our data Togg has one model, the T10X, an SUV, with model years from 2023 to the present.
The decoder does not show accidents, mileage, theft records or previous owners, because none of that is stored in a VIN. That information comes from a paid vehicle history report. The decoder itself is free and needs no registration.

Every VIN has 17 characters, and the letters I, O and Q are never used. The first three characters are the World Manufacturer Identifier, or WMI. It tells you who built the vehicle and in which country. Characters 4 to 8 describe the vehicle, character 9 is a check digit, character 10 is the model year, character 11 is the plant, and characters 12 to 17 are the serial number.
For Togg we do not yet have any WMI codes mapped to the brand, so we cannot list a country of manufacture here. Our WMI list is not complete, and that gap says nothing about any particular VIN. Enter yours and the decoder will read what it can from the number.
The model year is the easiest part to check. Our data covers the T10X from 2023, and in that range the tenth character is P for 2023, R for 2024, S for 2025 and T for 2026. If the tenth character of your VIN is one of these, it fits the years in our data.
Every VIN has six parts. This is what each of them means.
| Part | Characters | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| WMI | 1 to 3 | World manufacturer identifier: who built the vehicle and where |
| VDS | 4 to 8 | Vehicle descriptor: model, body type and engine, as set by the manufacturer |
| Check digit | 9 | Control value that helps confirm the VIN is valid |
| Model year | 10 | Code for the model year |
| Plant | 11 | Code for the assembly plant |
| Serial | 12 to 17 | Production sequence number of this vehicle |
On the driver's side, visible through the windshield.
On a sticker on the door frame or the edge of the door.
Printed in the vehicle registration or title.
Stamped on the firewall or the frame on many models.
A VIN is built from six parts, and each one says something about the vehicle. Our guides explain how to read it and what it can and cannot tell you.
Enter the 17-character VIN and see the factory basics in seconds.
Start with the vehicle registration document, where the VIN is printed in full. Then compare it with the number on the car itself, and make sure all 17 characters match.
The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer and the country. We have no WMI codes mapped to Togg at the moment, so the decoder may not name a country for it. That does not mean a VIN is wrong.
Look at the tenth character. In the years our data covers for the T10X, P stands for 2023, R for 2024, S for 2025 and T for 2026.
It cannot show accidents, mileage, theft or the number of owners. A VIN does not contain any of that, it only identifies the vehicle and how it was built.
Make sure the VIN in the paperwork matches the one on the car, and that the model year from the tenth character fits what the seller says. Our data lists the T10X as an SUV, so the body style should match too.
