Enter a 17-character VIN and the Pariss decoder reads what is encoded in it: the manufacturer, the model year and the country of manufacture. It is free and needs no registration. Our data currently lists one Pariss model, Electric.
The decoder reads only the VIN itself, so it cannot tell you about accidents, mileage, theft or previous owners. That information comes from a paid vehicle history report.

Every VIN of a car built since 1981 has 17 characters, and the letters I, O and Q are never used. The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer and the country. For Pariss we have no WMI codes mapped yet, so we cannot give you a code to look for. Our list is not complete, and a VIN that starts with other characters is not a problem in itself.
Characters 4 to 8 describe the vehicle, and character 9 is a check digit. North America requires the check digit, while many European VINs fill that position differently. Character 10 gives the model year as a letter or digit, and character 11 points to the plant. The last six characters, 12 to 17, are the serial number. We have no model year range on record for Pariss, so we do not list one here.
Every VIN has six parts. This is what each of them means.
| Part | Characters | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| WMI | 1 to 3 | World manufacturer identifier: who built the vehicle and where |
| VDS | 4 to 8 | Vehicle descriptor: model, body type and engine, as set by the manufacturer |
| Check digit | 9 | Control value that helps confirm the VIN is valid |
| Model year | 10 | Code for the model year |
| Plant | 11 | Code for the assembly plant |
| Serial | 12 to 17 | Production sequence number of this vehicle |
On the driver's side, visible through the windshield.
On a sticker on the door frame or the edge of the door.
Printed in the vehicle registration or title.
Stamped on the firewall or the frame on many models.
A VIN is built from six parts, and each one says something about the vehicle. Our guides explain how to read it and what it can and cannot tell you.

Check the vehicle registration documents first, since the VIN is printed there. On the car itself it is usually stamped or plated in a visible spot such as the base of the windscreen or a door frame. Copy all 17 characters exactly.
The first three characters are the WMI, which names the manufacturer and country. We have no WMI codes mapped to Pariss at the moment, so the decoder may not recognise every VIN. That says nothing about the car itself.
Look at the 10th character. It is a letter or a digit that stands for the model year, and the decoder translates it for you. Our data does not cover a year range for Pariss, so we cannot say which years to expect.
It cannot show accidents, mileage, theft records or the number of owners, because none of that is stored in the VIN. It also does not give body style or power for Pariss, as we have no such data for this brand.
Make sure the VIN on the car matches the VIN in the registration papers, character by character. Then inspect the car in person and ask the seller for service records. Our data lists the model Electric, so compare what the seller says with what the documents show.
