This page decodes the 17-character VIN of a Mazzanti. It reads the manufacturer, the model year and the country of manufacture straight from the number. Our data currently holds one Mazzanti model, the Evantra, with version data for model years 2016 to 2021 and a highest power figure of 1121 hp.
A VIN does not record accidents, mileage, theft or previous owners. That information comes from a paid vehicle history report, while the decoder here is free and needs no registration.

Every VIN built since 1981 has 17 characters, and the letters I, O and Q are never used. The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer. At the moment we have no WMI codes mapped to Mazzanti, so we cannot name a specific code or country here. Our list is not complete, and a VIN that starts with other characters is not a sign of a problem.
Characters 4 to 8 describe the vehicle, and character 9 is the check digit. North American VINs require it, while many European VINs fill it differently. Character 10 gives the model year, which is the part most useful for a Mazzanti Evantra. The model years in our data run from 2016 to 2021, which correspond to the letters G (2016), H (2017), J (2018), K (2019), L (2020) and M (2021). A VIN with J in position 10 points to model year 2018.
Character 11 marks the plant, and characters 12 to 17 are the serial number of the individual car.
Every VIN has six parts. This is what each of them means.
| Part | Characters | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| WMI | 1 to 3 | World manufacturer identifier: who built the vehicle and where |
| VDS | 4 to 8 | Vehicle descriptor: model, body type and engine, as set by the manufacturer |
| Check digit | 9 | Control value that helps confirm the VIN is valid |
| Model year | 10 | Code for the model year |
| Plant | 11 | Code for the assembly plant |
| Serial | 12 to 17 | Production sequence number of this vehicle |
On the driver's side, visible through the windshield.
On a sticker on the door frame or the edge of the door.
Printed in the vehicle registration or title.
Stamped on the firewall or the frame on many models.
A VIN is built from six parts, and each one says something about the vehicle. Our guides explain how to read it and what it can and cannot tell you.

Look at the vehicle registration papers first, then compare them with the number on the car itself. It is often visible at the base of the windscreen or on a plate in the door frame. Make sure both show the same 17 characters.
The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer. We have no WMI codes mapped to Mazzanti yet, so we cannot list one. A VIN with a code we do not recognise is not wrong, it simply is not in our list.
Read the tenth character. Our version data covers 2016 to 2021, so you would expect G, H, J, K, L or M. For example, K stands for 2019 and M for 2021.
It cannot show accidents, mileage, theft or the number of owners, because none of that is stored in the VIN. It also does not tell you the condition of a particular car.
Make sure the VIN in the papers matches the one on the car, and that the tenth character fits the model year in the advert. Then ask for service records and have the car inspected in person, since the VIN alone says nothing about its past.
