This page decodes the 17-character VIN of an Invicta Electric. Enter it and you get the manufacturer, the model year and the country of manufacture, as far as the VIN itself states them. Our data lists two Invicta Electric models, D2S and Pony, with model years from 2023 to the present, and some models are still built.
The decoder reads only the VIN, so it cannot tell you about accidents, mileage, theft or previous owners. That information comes from a paid vehicle history report. The decoder itself is free and needs no registration.
Every VIN issued for a car built since 1981 has 17 characters, and the letters I, O and Q are never used. The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer. Characters 4 to 8 describe the vehicle, character 9 is a check digit, character 10 gives the model year, character 11 the plant, and characters 12 to 17 are the serial number.
At the moment we have no WMI codes mapped to Invicta Electric, so there is no list of first-three-character codes to show here. Our WMI data is not complete, and a VIN that starts with characters we have not mapped is not a problem in itself. The same goes for the country of manufacture, which we cannot name for this brand yet.
The model year is the easiest part to check. Our version data for Invicta Electric starts in 2023, so the 10th character will typically be P for 2023, R for 2024, S for 2025 or T for 2026. Remember that the check digit in position 9 is required in North America, while many European VINs fill it differently, so do not read anything into it on its own.
Every VIN has six parts. This is what each of them means.
| Part | Characters | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| WMI | 1 to 3 | World manufacturer identifier: who built the vehicle and where |
| VDS | 4 to 8 | Vehicle descriptor: model, body type and engine, as set by the manufacturer |
| Check digit | 9 | Control value that helps confirm the VIN is valid |
| Model year | 10 | Code for the model year |
| Plant | 11 | Code for the assembly plant |
| Serial | 12 to 17 | Production sequence number of this vehicle |
On the driver's side, visible through the windshield.
On a sticker on the door frame or the edge of the door.
Printed in the vehicle registration or title.
Stamped on the firewall or the frame on many models.
A VIN is built from six parts, and each one says something about the vehicle. Our guides explain how to read it and what it can and cannot tell you.

The VIN is usually printed on a plate at the base of the windscreen on the driver's side, and on a label in the door frame. It also appears on the registration papers and the insurance documents. Compare all of them with each other.
The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer. We do not yet have any WMI codes mapped to Invicta Electric, so we cannot list them here. The decoder still reads the rest of the VIN as usual.
Look at the 10th character of the VIN. For the years in our data, P means 2023, R means 2024, S means 2025 and T means 2026. The D2S and Pony are both covered from 2023 onward.
A VIN does not contain accidents, mileage, theft records or the number of owners. The decoder reads only the characters of the VIN, so it gives the manufacturer, model year and country of manufacture.
Make sure the VIN has 17 characters, contains no I, O or Q, and is identical on the car and in the paperwork. Then check that the model year in position 10 fits the car you are being shown, which should be 2023 or later. If the VIN differs between places, ask the seller to explain before going further.
