This free decoder reads the 17 characters of a Fuqi VIN and shows what they encode: the manufacturer, the model year and the country of manufacture. Our data for the brand is small. It holds one model, the 6500 (Land King), with version data for the 2007 model year and a highest power figure of 160 hp.
The decoder reads only the VIN itself, so it shows nothing about a particular vehicle's past, such as accidents, mileage, theft or previous owners. That information comes from a paid vehicle history report.

Every VIN on a car built since 1981 has 17 characters, and the letters I, O and Q are never used. The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer. At the moment we have no WMI code mapped to Fuqi, so we cannot list one here or name a country for it. The decoder still applies the general VIN rules to whatever you enter.
The model year sits in position 10. For the 2007 model year of the 6500 (Land King), the tenth character would be 7. Positions 4 to 8 describe the vehicle, position 9 is a check digit, position 11 usually marks the plant and positions 12 to 17 are the serial number. The check digit is required in North America, while many European VINs fill it differently, so a check digit that looks unusual tells you nothing on its own.
Every VIN has six parts. This is what each of them means.
| Part | Characters | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| WMI | 1 to 3 | World manufacturer identifier: who built the vehicle and where |
| VDS | 4 to 8 | Vehicle descriptor: model, body type and engine, as set by the manufacturer |
| Check digit | 9 | Control value that helps confirm the VIN is valid |
| Model year | 10 | Code for the model year |
| Plant | 11 | Code for the assembly plant |
| Serial | 12 to 17 | Production sequence number of this vehicle |
On the driver's side, visible through the windshield.
On a sticker on the door frame or the edge of the door.
Printed in the vehicle registration or title.
Stamped on the firewall or the frame on many models.
A VIN is built from six parts, and each one says something about the vehicle. Our guides explain how to read it and what it can and cannot tell you.

Start with the registration document, where the VIN is normally printed. On the vehicle it is usually on a plate or stamped into the body, though the exact place differs from one vehicle to another.
The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer and the country. We have no WMI codes mapped to Fuqi yet, and our list is not complete, so a VIN that starts differently is not a problem in itself.
Look at the tenth character. Our version data for the 6500 (Land King) covers the 2007 model year, which appears in the VIN as the digit 7.
It cannot show accidents, mileage, theft records or previous owners, because none of that is stored in the VIN. It also gives no body style for Fuqi, since we have no body style data for the brand.
Compare the VIN on the vehicle with the one in the registration papers, and ask for service records. Have the vehicle inspected in person, as the VIN alone will not tell you its condition.
