Enter the 17-character VIN of an Exeed and the decoder reads the manufacturer, the model year and the country of manufacture straight from the code. It is free and needs no registration. Our data for the brand lists 7 models, among them LX, RX, Sterra ES, Sterra ET, TX/TXL, VX and Yaoguang, in SUV and Sedan body styles, with model years from 2019 to present.
The decoder does not tell you anything about the individual car's past, such as accidents, mileage, theft or previous owners. That information comes from a paid vehicle history report.
A VIN has 17 characters, and the letters I, O and Q are never used, so they cannot be mistaken for 1 and 0. The first three characters are the WMI, the world manufacturer identifier. At the moment we have no WMI codes mapped to Exeed, so there is no list to show here, and we do not know which countries they would belong to. Our list of codes is not complete, and it says nothing about whether a particular VIN is correct.
Characters 4 to 8 describe the vehicle. Character 9 is a check digit, required in North America, while many European VINs fill that position differently. Character 11 marks the plant, and characters 12 to 17 are the serial number.
Character 10 gives the model year. Our Exeed data starts in 2019, which is the letter K. After that come L for 2020, M for 2021, P for 2023, R for 2024, S for 2025 and T for 2026. So a VIN with R in tenth position points to model year 2024.
Every VIN has six parts. This is what each of them means.
| Part | Characters | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| WMI | 1 to 3 | World manufacturer identifier: who built the vehicle and where |
| VDS | 4 to 8 | Vehicle descriptor: model, body type and engine, as set by the manufacturer |
| Check digit | 9 | Control value that helps confirm the VIN is valid |
| Model year | 10 | Code for the model year |
| Plant | 11 | Code for the assembly plant |
| Serial | 12 to 17 | Production sequence number of this vehicle |
On the driver's side, visible through the windshield.

Printed in the vehicle registration or title.
Stamped on the firewall or the frame on many models.
A VIN is built from six parts, and each one says something about the vehicle. Our guides explain how to read it and what it can and cannot tell you.

On most cars it is printed on a plate or sticker that can be seen from outside or inside the vehicle, and it is also written in the registration documents. Copy all 17 characters exactly, and remember that I, O and Q do not appear in a VIN.
The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer and the country of manufacture. We do not currently have any WMI codes mapped to Exeed, and our list is incomplete, so a VIN starting with other characters is nothing to worry about.
Look at the 10th character. In the range our data covers, K means 2019, L means 2020, M means 2021, P means 2023, R means 2024, S means 2025 and T means 2026.
It reads only the VIN itself, so it cannot show accidents, mileage, theft records or the number of owners. A VIN does not contain that information.
Make sure the VIN on the car matches the one in the registration papers, and decode it to see that the model year and manufacturer fit the listing. Then ask for service records, inspect the car in person and take a test drive.
