Enter a Campagna VIN and the decoder reads its 17 characters to show the manufacturer, the model year and the country of manufacture. Our data for the brand is small: two models, T-REX and V13R, with version data for model year 2017 and the Roadster body style.
A VIN holds no accident entries, mileage readings, theft records or owner details. That information comes from a paid vehicle history report, while the decoder itself stays free and needs no registration.
Every VIN has 17 characters, and the letters I, O and Q are never used. The first three characters are the World Manufacturer Identifier, or WMI, which points to the maker and the country of manufacture. Characters 4 to 8 describe the vehicle, character 9 is the check digit, character 10 gives the model year, character 11 the plant, and characters 12 to 17 are the serial number.
For Campagna we currently have no WMI codes mapped to the brand, so we cannot list any here or name a country from them. That is a limit of our list, not a verdict on any VIN. A VIN that starts with other characters is not wrong for that reason.
The model year is the easier part to check. Our version data covers 2017 only, and 2017 is shown by the letter H in position 10. So a Campagna VIN with an H in the tenth place matches the model year in our data. The check digit in position 9 is required in North America, while many European VINs fill that position differently.
Every VIN has six parts. This is what each of them means.
| Part | Characters | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| WMI | 1 to 3 | World manufacturer identifier: who built the vehicle and where |
| VDS | 4 to 8 | Vehicle descriptor: model, body type and engine, as set by the manufacturer |
| Check digit | 9 | Control value that helps confirm the VIN is valid |
| Model year | 10 | Code for the model year |
| Plant | 11 | Code for the assembly plant |
| Serial | 12 to 17 | Production sequence number of this vehicle |
On the driver's side, visible through the windshield.
On a sticker on the door frame or the edge of the door.
Printed in the vehicle registration or title.
Stamped on the firewall or the frame on many models.
A VIN is built from six parts, and each one says something about the vehicle. Our guides explain how to read it and what it can and cannot tell you.

Look for the 17-character number on the vehicle registration or title papers and on the insurance documents. On the vehicle itself it is normally stamped or printed on a plate or on the frame. Compare the characters carefully, since I, O and Q never appear in a VIN.
The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer and the country. We have no WMI codes mapped to Campagna at the moment, so the decoder may not tie a VIN to the brand through them. This says nothing about whether the VIN is genuine.
Read the tenth character. H stands for 2017, which is the only model year in our Campagna version data. The letter H is also used for 1987 in the older cycle, but VINs of that era are outside our data for this brand.
It shows only what is encoded in the VIN itself: manufacturer, model year and country of manufacture. Accidents, mileage, theft and previous owners are not stored in the number.
Make sure the VIN on the vehicle matches the VIN in the papers, character by character. Check that the tenth character fits the model year the seller states. Our data lists the T-REX and the V13R as Roadster models, so ask the seller to explain anything that does not match what you see.
