What is a Baltasar VIN decoder?

This page decodes the 17-character VIN of a Baltasar. From the VIN alone it reads the manufacturer code, the model year and the country of manufacture, and it does so without registration or payment. Our data for the brand is small: one model, the Revolt, a roadster covered for model year 2021.

A VIN does not contain accidents, mileage, theft records or previous owners. That information comes from a paid vehicle history report, which you can order separately if you need it.

What the Baltasar decoder shows

  • The manufacturer and brand (Baltasar)
  • The model year
  • The country of manufacture
  • The assembly plant, when it is coded
  • The vehicle type and body style, where the manufacturer encodes it
  • Engine and model details, where available
  • Whether the VIN structure and check digit are valid

How the VIN of a Baltasar is read

Every VIN has 17 characters, and the letters I, O and Q are never used. The first three characters are the WMI, which identifies the manufacturer. Characters 4 to 8 describe the vehicle, character 9 is a check digit, character 10 is the model year, character 11 is the plant and characters 12 to 17 are the serial number. The check digit is required in North America, while many European VINs fill that position differently.

At the moment we have no WMI codes mapped to Baltasar, so we cannot list any here, and we have no country of manufacture to name. Our list is not complete, and a VIN that begins with other characters is not a cause for concern. The model year is a different matter, because it is a single character. In our data the Revolt appears for 2021, and the model year letter for 2021 is M, so a VIN with M in position 10 matches that year.

How a VIN is built

Every VIN has six parts. This is what each of them means.

Learn more about VINs

A VIN is built from six parts, and each one says something about the vehicle. Our guides explain how to read it and what it can and cannot tell you.

Before you buy a used Baltasar

  • Compare the VIN on the dashboard, the door frame and the documents. All three should match.
  • Look for signs of tampering around the VIN plate and the door frame sticker.
  • Ask for the service history and check it against the car.
  • Run a full history report to see recorded damage, mileage and theft records.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find the VIN on a Baltasar Revolt?

The VIN is usually printed on the vehicle itself, for example at the base of the windscreen or on a sticker at the door opening, and it is also on the registration papers. Check that the characters on the car match the documents.

What do the first characters of a Baltasar VIN mean?

The first three characters are the WMI, the manufacturer code. We do not yet know any WMI codes for Baltasar, so we cannot name them here. The decoder still shows what it can read from the rest of the VIN.

How do I find the model year of a Baltasar?

Look at the 10th character of the VIN. Our version data for the Revolt covers model year 2021 only, and 2021 is shown by the letter M.

What can the decoder not show me?

It cannot show accidents, mileage, theft or previous owners, because none of that is stored in the VIN. It reads only the 17 characters.

What should I check before buying a used Baltasar?

Compare the VIN on the car with the one in the papers, and look at the model year character to see whether it fits the car you are being offered. Ask the seller for service records and have the roadster inspected in person before you pay.
